Honoring Bob & Gail Wright today (not just with fancy hats!) – Please write them a note of encouragement (in the hallway) and thank them for their service. They are moving inside the Beltway with Gail’s daughter. Gail has ministered to people with AIDS, has taught, read scripture as a Lector, hosted church events. Bob has led our Usher Ministry, Servant Evangelism Outreach, been an office helper, evangelist and Realignment Team member. Both have served as short-term missionaries abroad and have been with CHS from the beginning. Let’s honor them.

Ten Days of Prayer and Fasting, May 1-9 – Come pray any evening from 7:30-8:30pm between May 1-9 at the Nixon’s. Fasting aids our prayers, so several of us are abstaining from solid food during daylight hours.

Reach Workcamp Youth Mission trip to Ohio, July 6-12. Come with Pastor Clancy to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio from July 6-12 on a mission trip where we will do manual labor fixing up elderly poor people’s homes. For rising 7^th-12^th graders.The cost for the trip is $380, and you’ll be taught how to raise your own support using a letter and follow-up. We will drive there on Sunday July 6 after the congregation prays for us during the worship service, and return early afternoon the following Saturday the 12^th. Available slots are quite limited. If you’d like to come, please let Clancy know ASAP to reserve your spot. I need to know by May 20 whether you’d like to come. I’ll need just a couple of adult volunteers as well.

Youth Beach Trip, June 18, day after school is out. Let's Celebrate summer! We'll leave at 6:00am from the Nixon's house and drive to Fenwick Island, Delaware. Rising 7th through 12th graders are welcome. Bring towel, swimsuit, change of clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, beach balls, rafts, skimboards, and extra money for food. Cost is $15 to defray gas expenses. We'll return by 11:00pm. Everyone must have a parent sign a release form by 6:00am before they are permitted to go. Please arrive by 5:30am!
