"JOY STARTS HERE" BOOK STUDY GROUP- Sundays from 9:00am - 9:50am starting September 14. Pastor Clancy and Ginger will lead a study on the book Joy Starts Here by Wilder, Khouri, Coursey and Sutton.  It is open to all.  It will last for 6 weeks.   Topics: Finding your joyful identity vs masks; multigenerational joyful community; restoring joy; and brain skills for joy and quiet.  

BOOK OF JOEL BIBLE STUDY - Sundays from 9am - 10am starting September 7. Pastor Matt will lead a lively study/discussion group on this prophetic book.

CONVOY OF HOPE OUTREACH- Saturday, September 13.  Convoy of Hope Leesburg is returning this fall on Saturday, September 13th.  Last year, over 650 volunteers from 46 churches and organizations served more than 3,000 people that came to the Community Outreach at the Shenandoah Building parking lot (near Walmart) in Leesburg.  CHS participated in the prayer tent, and we were blessed to lead six people to pray to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. LADIES RETREAT- September 19-20. The weekend get-away will be held at the Mt. Zion Retreat Center, east of Charles Town, West VA. It will begin Friday, Sept. 19, at 4:00pm and conclude before dinner on Saturday, Sept. 20. The cost including three meals and lodging will be $75, payable to Church of the Holy Spirit. Friday night our speaker will be Ginger Nixon and Saturday our speaker will be Elizabeth Hudgins. Details and driving instructions will follow. You are invited to join with the ladies of the church for a spiritual change of pace.

BARKTOBERFEST! Saturday, September 27. Join CHS and fellow animal lovers at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 27th as Friends of Homeless Animals hosts its signature event, Barktoberfest: A Purrfect Pet Celebration.  Once again CHS will be blessing the animals and praying for their owners as we reach out to the greater Loudoun community. Get involved and bring your family to this annual fall CHS event.  It is a lot of fun to meet the great variety of dogs and their loving owners.  To find out more, contact John Nuzum at .

BACKPACK BUDDIES – Cindy Bloomingdale is the new CHS Ministry Coordinator for Backpack Buddies. She is coordinating our outreach to the underserved, food insecure children of Ball's Bluff Elementary School.
